Muscles carry trapped blocked energy within any area of our bodies, caused by a variety of reason; traumatic memories, accident, emotions, illness and so forth. This repressed energy is responsible for countless ailments and chronic health conditions that can cause us suffering in many ways such as shoulder, backache, leg pain to more serious issue.
There are numerous studies as to why we develop chronic muscle tension and these can be:
Environmental stressors and habits

Types of massages
There are a variety of massages to choose from, to suit your needs and are all beneficial. Massages can be adapted to suit you, so you could have any combination to help you, for example, relaxing and deep on those stubborn areas with or without cupping, Meridian Stretch with specific areas targeted, or half one treatment and half of another such as Reflexology and Massage.
Have you ever wondered what holds our organs in place? Fascia. There are 4 types of fascia within our body and all 4 are different. Fascia wraps around and through our muscles (tendons, ligaments and bones), basically it weaves its way through and around our whole body holding it together like glue. It easily binds up giving us adhesions - tight fascia that squeezes muscles, circulation and nerves, causing pain and even cellulite.
Tight fascia prevents blood flow from getting to the area and gives us pain. During a massage, I work on the fascia and or muscle and the adhesion releases, allowing the blood and healthy fluids to rush to the area causing a bruising affect. Because all the bodily fluids are now able to flow freely through that area, all the unhealthy stuff (free radicals, hormones, acids, dead blood cells etc.) that gets congested there are able to make their way out of the body. Sometimes this can cause some nausea. Everyone is different and for some bruising can be worse because of unhealthily tight fascia accumulated over time. There is a difference between a blunt trauma bruise and a bruise after massage.
There are a few ways to tell if you are fascia bound:
Pinch your skin. If it does not easily pull up then you have tight fascia
Drag your hand across your skin while pushing down slightly. Does it look like cottage cheese? If so, you have tight fascia.
Poke your body, does it ache? You have tight fascia with restrictive blood flow.
Massage is one of the few ways to loosen up fascia. It will take a number of treatments close together to get you loosened up if you have really tight fascia. Once you are loose, you will want to get maintenance massage every month to prevent it from getting stuck again.
You do not want to get a massage over a painful bruise, but we can work on other areas.
To make the massage more effective when you come, you must drink plenty of water regularly. It acts like oil to the muscles and fascia making it easier to release and keeps your muscles hydrated.
Pregnancy Massage can help alleviate aches and pains and other common health problems associated with pregnancy. Preparing for the arrival of a new baby brings much excitement, but also plenty of stress, massage can help to reduce stress levels due to its calming effect.
Research shows that the baby can benefit greatly from massage as 'feel good' endorphins are released by the mother during massage and are passed onto the baby. Pregnancy Massage relaxes tense muscles, ease sore spots and improve circulation.
Your massage will be adapted to your needs, so please discuss. Many clients tell me, they receive 'fluffy' treatments and this not what they had asked for.
Only pure and natural and or organic products are used.
